Where do I start on this wedding? It was as close to perfection as you can get. The only thing that made it not perfect was the ant incident (lol). Bianca contacted me to inquire about pricing and just loved my work. My prices were on the higher side, so I wasn’t sure if she would book me. Next thing I know, I got a call from her fiance. He wanted to book me and surprise her. It was so sweet! Needless to say, she was thrilled! She, like so many of my brides, highly values photography. She made sure to have an unplugged ceremony, so we wouldn’t have to deal with everyone else’s cameras during the ceremony. The wedding was held at Noah’s Event Venue in Ft Worth. Although the place is fairly simple, I just LOVE it! The lighting is beautiful! The day started off fairly uneventful, shot a small bit of the getting ready, the dress and her ring. Then it was time to shoot Bianca and the girls. I told Bianca to stand on this small hill, overlooking the golf course. Looked innocent enough, especially for one of my shoots. Well, apparently there was a fire ant mound there, and Bianca stood right in it. Her dress (lining and tulle) was covered in fire ants! Let me just say, it is not easy to get fire ants out of tulle. She was crying as they stung her and everyone was trying their best to get all the ants off of her. She proceeded to strip down right out in the open, that’s how bad it was. She didn’t care. I felt horrible, but she was so sweet and never blamed me. We finally got them all off of her, and we went right on with the portraits. Bianca is so amazing! She didn’t let it ruin her day! One of the things I loved so much about this wedding was the details she had to remember her mom who had passed away 5 years ago. She had a necklace that had the coordinates of her mom’s ashes, another necklace with a small vile that contained some of her mom’s ashes, her mom’s favorite flower was placed on a chair next to her dad at the ceremony, and a memorial table for her mom. She was very close to her mom and broke down during the getting ready right before the ceremony. Another thing that I loved was that she wanted me to keep the scar she has on her chest in the images to symbolize her heart surgery she had when she was younger. Ok, enough about Bianca lol (sorry, I just adore her and she looked amazing!). Let’s talk about the guys. I NEVER shoot the guys getting ready (Todd shoots them), but as I walked by their room, I hear awesome music coming from the doors. Of course, since music is my thing, I had to go check it out. I opened the door to a room full of guys having way too much fun! They were a blast! Again, lighting was perfection in that room! Greg, the groom, was so laid back and easy to work with. The ceremony was held indoors and was short and really sweet. The reception was great, but the cake, omg the cake! Gorgeous! The cake was made by Bianca’s sister and brought on the plane all the way from Las Vegas! Such a talented girl this one is! They didn’t have an exit (at least not while I was there), so we ended the night with dancing. Despite the ants, it was a perfect day and perfect wedding! Hope you enjoy the images as much as I enjoyed taking them!
