Yay! My blog is ready for use. Jesse and Kelly’s destination wedding in Canada will be the first wedding featured!
Jesse and Kelly were wonderful to work with! While we were in Canada for their wedding, we also got to catch up with Michelle and Mark, whose destination wedding we shot in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic). Whenever we shoot a destination wedding, it’s like a ‘client reunion’ because we always see the newlyweds from our past weddings in attendance. I love that!
The wedding ceremony took place in front of an old barn on the property with the majestic mountains laid out for the background. It was such a breath-taking site for such a beautiful ceremony! The details they put together for the ceremony were simple and stunning… mason jars lined with lemons, holding baby’s breath, sitting on tree stumps, lined the aisle. The bride’s bouquet was wrapped with fabric and twine, with an antique brooch that matched perfectly with the rustic scene they created.
They did an awesome job of carrying the theme throughout the reception as well. The reception table centerpieces consisted of terrariums sitting atop a log tree and they used pine cones for table numbers. Their beautiful rustic wedding cake also used a log platform to sit upon.
The day after the wedding we spent time with Jesse and Kelly at Emerald Lake for some couples portraits.
The whole wedding was beautiful. The bride and groom were so in love that it made for a wonderful time photographing them.
Thanks Jesse and Kelly for allowing us to document your day!
